The weather in Shenzhen will start to get cooler today, and the cold will affect the city through the weekend.
Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory said the minimum temperature will reach 15 degrees Celsius tomorrow.
This winter, Shenzhen has experienced summertime temperatures ranging between 21 and 28 degrees Celsius.
Since Oct. 16, after the end of flood season, Shenzhen has recorded only 1 millimeter of rain, the second lowest in the city’s meteorological history. The dry weather has forced Guangdong to issue a red alert for drought province-wide since October. According to Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory, the dry weather will continue in December.
Though rounds of cold air will affect the city, Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory said earlier at a press conference that the four rounds will be rather weak, so a big temperature drop is unlikely.
In November, the average temperature in Shenzhen was 22.6 degrees Celsius.
