Notice on road closure for Shenzhen International Marathon

In accordance with Article 39 of the “Law of The People’s Republic of China on Road Traffic Safety", dynamic road control measures will be adopted to road sections during Shenzhen International Marathon to be held on Dec.16.

This event will be held on the section of Shennan Boulevard between Bao’an Road South and Shahe West Road, and the section of Shahe West Road between Shahe Flyover of Shennan Boulevard and Wanghai Road, and will ends in Futian District in the Civic Center square at 2 p.m.

Drivers will be banned from turning onto the westward section of Shennan Boulevard between Jintian Flyover and Yitian Flyover starting at 2 a.m. Sunday.

Starting at 5 a.m., vehicles will be forbidden from entering the westward section of Shennan Boulevard between Huanggang Flyover and Jintian Flyover and the main area of the event near Shenzhen Civic Center.

Starting at 7:55 a.m., five minutes before the event commences, police will begin gradually imposing the controls, section by section, according to the progress of the 42-kilometer race from the Shenzhen Civic Center square, along Shennan Boulevard, to Shahe West Road and Wanghai Road, and then back on Shennan Boulevard, Shennan Road Central and Shennan Road East.

Regular public transport services and traffic will resume after the traffic controls are lifted.Residents with emergencies along the marathon route can call 110 or 8333-3333 for help from police.
