A teenager manually operates a device to generate electricity to light up bulbs at a science exhibition at the Shenzhen Women's Federation yesterday. The exhibition, which will last 10 days, is the first leg of a citywide tour organized by the Shenzhen Science and Technology Association. The exhibits, around 80 in total, give hands-on demonstrations of acoustics, optics, physics, mathematics and the magnetic sciences. The tour will visit communities and schools across Shenzhen.
