The Shenzhen Municipal Management Center of Social Insurance Funds is affiliated to the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Labor and Social Insurance.
Its major responsibilities include:
1) to formulate work plans and annual programs for the city's basic endowment insurance, supplementary endowment insurance, endowment insurance for rural residents and irregular employment, medical insurance, occupational injury insurance, unemployment insurance, childbirth insurance, the housing provident funds for company employees, as well as the medical subsidy funds for government and public employees; to implement the approved plans and programs;
2) to direct the implementation of the polices and programs for enterprise annuity and supplementary medical insurance;
3) to direct the collecting, application reviewing and paying procedures for the funds of basic endowment insurance, supplementary endowment insurance, endowment insurance for rural residents and irregular employment, medical insurance, occupational injury insurance, unemployment insurance, childbirth insurance, as well as the medical subsidies for government/public employees and the collective medical funds for their families; to improve the socialized management of social insurance;
4) when authorized by the labor and social insurance authorities, to direct the examination and assessment for occupational injuries, and to supervise the employers' compensation procedures to ensure the injured employees are properly compensated; to direct the rescue, treatment and rehabilitation programs for the injured employees;
5) to direct the appraisal of labor capability for employees suffering occupational injuries/sickness; to undertake the regular work of the Shenzhen Municipal Appraisal Committee for Labor Capability;
6) to administrate the medical institutions and drug stores contracted under the social insurance plan;
7) to direct the collecting, paying and managing affairs of the housing provident funds for company employees;
8) to direct the management and operation of local social insurance funds; to ensure the funds' security and increment;
9) to collect and analyze the information on local social insurance and to provide relevant information management; to direct the management of local employees' private social insurance accounts and files;
10) to establish an efficient communication channel with local enterprises for better services;
11) to undertake other assignments given by the municipal party committee and the municipal government.
